Two Poems
MOTHER NATURE'S MESSAGE
By Maria T.
Leaves
Fall all around me
A brisk wind
Brushes against my face
It tells me something
I do not know what
But it sends me a message
Of some kind;
Some sort.
The air seems to
Breathe
The magical
Unknown
Words
When
I listen closely
I hear the twittering of
Birds
As they go and py tidings to their peeps.
I hear voices
Soft
And Silkily smooth
I do not know yet
What they are saying;
Not yet.
And then
All of it comes to mind
I finally understand
Mother Nature's message to humankind:
We need nature in order to live
Our life
To its
Full
Extent
I hear it all around me now
From birds and animals,
From plants and trees,
And from the voice of Mother Nature herself.
By Dusanka P.
The beauty of the night
How she loves the darkness
But soon enough there's fright
They want to kill the princess...
The voices in her head
Tell her what to do
As she cries in her bed
Thinking it's not true
She can barely speak
She can't live alone
For she is fragile and weak
The night is her home
But it is being haunted
By the lovely voices
All she ever wanted
Was to get rid of the noise
They make her walk away
From the answer to the key
They tell her what to say
And who she wants to be
She is left on her own
No one wills to save the girl
The princess on the throne
Dying in her world...
She can feel only fear
The voices stalk her to death
They are there, always near
So close, she wishes to be dead
The normal life is behind
She has to fight to be free
I know what's in her mind
The princess was me...
